Alchemy’s HDCeal range of pipeline sealants are extremely effective in improving valve performance, for grouting or repairing clamp systems, isolating pipelines and manifold areas, and sealing control lines.  They have also be used to prevent communication between annuli and to seal casing hanger joints and packers.

The HDCeal system is a two part liquid, time dependent set, catalysed system which is hydrophobic and will set underwater and in harsh environments.  The solid material formed has a measured life time of over 25 years in high temperature conditions and provides sealing, isolations and barriers within voids and other areas which would be otherwise in accessible.

The product is available in a range of densities and viscosities to allow for the most effective placement into the work area.

DynaCeal is Alchemy’s innovative sealing system which is injected as a liquid and forms a solid polymeric material which can be used as a temporary barrier, valve improvement, and other applications.  

Injected as a liquid, the DynaCeal will cure over a 24 hour period to form a solid plug which then sets within the void or leak path to be sealed.  One of the main advantages of DynaCeal is that it is a temporary systems – the solid plug can be quickly dissolved using our Alchemy CealSolve product which reduces the solid plug back to a thin liquid.

The plug formed by DynaCeal can also be easily mechanically sheared simply by operating a valve, or tools can be run through the plug to physically remove it once it is no longer required allowing a rapid return to normal operating conditions.

DynaCeal is routinely carried by North Sea offshore operators and workover contractors as a contingency measure and is used to obtain a temporary barrier in the field should there be any issues with valve integrity with having to return to port or come off of the well.
