Our main product lines consist of Aqueous Gel Pipeline Pigs, Glycol Gel Pipeline Pigs, crosslinked and viscous gels and various different types of Sealing Products. In addition to our standard range of Gel Products and Sealing Products, we provide unique solutions for our clients’ problems associated with pipeline and well applications. We often work to very tight time scales and delivery schedules.

Alchemy operates from a purpose built facility at Thainstone Business Park on the outskirts of Inverurie, Aberdeenshire in the UK, ideally placed to service the on and off-shore markets world wide. We also have facilites for production in Houston, Texas and Perth, Australia.

Our technology and experience stems from our Director Jim Murray’s many years experience in the chemical industry and over 40 years experience in the oilfield industry. His interest and knowledge in Gel technologies is innovative, unique and world leading. Jim perfected the manufacture of ready made gels and gel pigs and has refined these techniques over the last 30 years. The products we supply for use in the North Sea associated with oil well drilling and production are environmentally friendly and are registered with CEFAS an agency of DTI. 

We service clients in Australia, USA, Norway, Far East, Brazil, Nigeria and throughout Europe, extending Alchemy’s reach as an international solution provider. 

Research and development into new gels and chemical solutions to meet our clients’ requirement forms a larger part of our operation and we are increasing our product range and support facilities for clients from month to month as our latest developments receive regulatory approval.

We are flexible in our thinking and we provide a solution based response to pipeline emergencies and various unique chemical treatment applications for remediation of difficult and sometimes safety critical applications.
